Mondays from 19:30

No special clothing necessary, though we would recommend wearing something comfortable that allows you to move and some soft soled shoes.

Recommendations

  • Please bring your own cup for the tea break and we would also advise a bottle of water to drink throughout the class.

  • It is also a good idea to bring your own hand gel to use between dances.

  • If you cannot attend please let us know with as much notice as possible

Save the date - Burns Super 2024 to be held on 22nd January.

More details to follow here

7th September 2021 - We had a good first meeting last night, with 9 members present. As well as doing 5 of our specially adjusted dances, we held a brief AGM and elected our new officers - Ellen is now president, and the committee remain as before.

4th August 2021 - I hope you've had a good summer and you are all keeping well. We have the hall booked for the societies return from 6th September, so I hope that you're all ready to pick up the threads.  Don't worry if you're unfit or think you've forgotten everything as we will take things easily at the start.  Phyl has prepared some dances with minimal hand contact to begin with, until people are feeling more confident with the way things are.

18th March 2020 - Following this week’s Government advice about social distancing we have taken the decision to stop dancing, we anticipate that this may be until the end of May, but we will continue to review and re-open when the advice changes and there is no need for social distancing.

24th June 2019 - Members of Helsby SCD had their summer outing. We met at the Cheshire Cat in Christleton and had a gentle stroll in the evening sunshine along the canal towards Waverton and back. We then had some lovely food at the Cat, chatting and laughing throughout.

Have a good summer and see you in September.
